Our physical and virtual data center is located in a telecommunication building owned by Equinix (Equinix Sofia 1). Our data center services feature the highest possible service availability - 99.995% (actually 100%) methodologically defined and achievable in the web hosting industry. This makes it possible for RAX to apply a premium Service Level Agreement (SLA) to all IT services, something that guarantees the quality of our services and our clients' interests. All services of RAX, unless other is specified in the service terms, are covered by 24/7/365 onsite and remote NOC and technical support.
The facility has a scalable power infrastructure with the highest level of reliability. It offers a minimum of N+1 redundancy for every power system element and delivers the highest possible power quality and uptime. The data center operates four (4x) independent power feeds @10kVA from two separate 110 kVA grid sub-stations and has two redundant power transformation units. An Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) system, produced by Siemens, reconfigures low voltage power sourcing, upon outages or excessive high urgencies fed into the UPS groups. A manual electrical power source selection system @ 10kV is in place, in case of the need to switchover different power feeds.
The data center has two (2) main electric switchboards (A + B) connected to independent power distribution boards (A + B) for each floor of the building based on ABB's type-tested boards. All electrical components are connected via independent cableways that do not intersect. All power supply system elements are duplicated and operate in separate fire compartments with a 72-degree resistance class: transformers (A + B), GRT (A + B), uninterruptible power supplies (A + B), battery fields ), distribution boards (A + B) and synchronized diesel generators.
AEG’s SVS series UPS system provides two separate groups each with N+1 redundancy. Each UPS unit has its own dedicated battery string with Exide’s batteries sized for 20 min backup time at full load.
A Backup group of synchronized diesel generators in N+1 grade of redundancy provides power backup. All IT components are also grounded for both equipment and occupants' safety. The Main Power Distribution Units (A&B) and the floor PDUs (A&B) are based on ABB. All power cable paths and systems are fully A+B redundant, using separate cable trays, and routes, with all PDUs, ATS, and equipment separated physically in different rooms.
HID iClass DG access cards for all doors. 24/7 CCTV camera monitoring of the DC rooms and doors in the data center. The facility features a BOSCH fire detection and suppression system with laser-based Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA). It also has:
All doors, including power generators, PDUs, UPS, batteries, co-location rooms, and storage are auto-lockable, fireproofed steel doors, that can withstand 72 minutes of open fire without constructive malformations. All cable paths that are room-to-room crossings are filled in with Intumescent fire-stop sealant. All floors and rooms are equipped with hand-held CO2 & Dry powder fire extinguishers, as required by local fire regulations.
We host your data on a Storage Area Network that has built-in protection and keeps the information safe, under any circumstances.
HA is not a standard service. It minimizes IT services outage, but more than 95% of the providers you'd find, don't support it. We do!
